How to Edit a Post on WordPress – Tutorial for Dummies

Edit your Post on Tradigitalart.online

This tutorial will give you some useful basic directions that you may need when editing your profile, an article, or any kind of post content on Tradigital Art, which is a WordPress site.

Add Title

First of all, when you add a new post, write the title in the “ADD TITLE” field, indicated by the red arrow.  If you are edting your Tradigital Art profile, then you must write your name and surname.  On your screen will see this:

Write Your Text/Add New Heading

Now you can start writing the text of your post where indicated by the blue arrow on the above screenshot, or you can add another heading.  For example, on my profile post, after writing my name in the “ADD TITLE” field,  I decided to enter “My profile” as subtitle, as follows:

My Profile

In order to transform “My profile” from paragraph to heading, you must click on the paragraph button indicated by the red arrow in the above screenshot…

…and then click on the “Heading” button, as follows:

Tranform To Heading

Now select the “heading 2”, as follows:

With the same system you can organize your profile page, or any type of post, just like a chapter in a book, with a main title  (Heading 1, which in this case corresponds with my name: Barbara Stamegna), and many subtitles (Heading 2 for paragraphs, Heading 3, 4 for subparagraphs).

Insert Images

At this point, after you entered all the text information you wish to show on your profile page, you can also insert images (or other paragraphs and items).  But first of all you must decide where to place the image with respect to the selected block.  You can proceed in the following way:

  1. Click on the three dots menu (More Options icon) of the selected block, indicated by the red icon in the picture below;
  2. choose if to place the new  block (where to insert an image, another paragraph or item) before or after the selected block,  by clicking where indicated by the blue arrows.

Now that you have placed your new block, click on the circle icon menu, as indicated by the purple arrow in the following image, and then select the image icon, like indicated by the green arrow…

At this point you may decide to give a personal touch to your post by using your favorite colours.  In order to obtain this, you can change the text and background colours, in the following way:

  1. click on the block where you want to change colours;
  2. Go to the right sidebar and click on color settings (as indicated by the green arrow in the following image);
  3.  choose the text colour (as indicated by the orange arrow of the above image) and the background color (as indicated by the blue arrow of the above image).
